It’s not like they’ve never seen a spacecraft before, so there’s really no good reason for them to be clambering all over the shuttle. I think Rez’s got the right idea here.
Well, in a particularly low-grav environment/culture, there’s somewhat less of a difference between “standing *next* to it to have a look” and “standing *on* it to have a look”, I suppose …
(Try to tell the city doves that buildings aren’t for sitting atop of! 😉
Meh, the feathered rats are everywhere, but it’s not likely they’ll have intelligent intent, other than very specific deposits of guano at inopportune moments. Think street urchins here, looking for open doors … and loose dashboard radios.
There are times I wish there was a voting/reaction/thumbs up tally marker we could click so we, the audience, can show you how much we love this comic without cluttering up the comment section, or at least give the lurkers a less exposed way to say “Good job, you!”
Thanks as always, ‘Leigh, for sharing AstralSounds with us.
I would have thought a flying species would enjoy a low gravity environment, where you can soar without effort for hours…. Perhaps it’s more like having roller skates attached to your feet without your consent though.
Flyers rely on gravity to provide acceleration that they can use to generate lift without expending extra energy. The loss of that counterforce would have a flyer constantly flipping over in mid-air trying to compensate for a familiar force that had decreased dramatically.

I wonder if that’s something I could add with a website edit? Something to look into…
Also, thank you! I’m glad you’re enjoying it!
