It took me three rereads to realize this page is actually back on the survey ship, showing the explorers captured the creature that destroyed their drone. The eyebrows on the Aurik on the left should have been my first clue. The dialogue in the last panel (“…until we reach home.”) should have cinched it. Ah well, I see it now.
